About the role.

As the Automotive Design Project Manager at KMH, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the execution of automotive design projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:

    • Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.

    • Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

    • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders regularly.

  2. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

    • Provide clear direction and support to team members, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.

    • Manage team dynamics and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.

  3. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Monitor project budgets and resource allocations to ensure efficient use of resources.

    • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to manage project-related expenditures.

  4. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

    • Proactively address issues and challenges to keep projects on track.

  5. Quality Assurance:

    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet or exceed design specifications.

    • Conduct regular project reviews and assessments.

  6. Client and Stakeholder Communication:

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

    • Communicate project progress, updates, and key milestones effectively.

About you.

Background

The ideal candidate for the Automotive Design Project Manager position at KMH should possess a bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Design Management, Project Management, or a related field.

 

The candidate must demonstrate proven experience as a Project Manager in the automotive design industry and showcase a strong understanding of the entire automotive design process, from concept to production.

 

Essential qualifications include excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, coupled with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. The ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously is also a key requirement for this role.
